The Hen Harrier is a bird of prey on the Amber List for Birds of Conservation Concern, that nests in moorlands and bogs, such as Slieve Beagh wetlands. The Hen Harrier Project works with local farmers to help maintain Special Protection Areas for conservation of the bird’s habitat. The smaller birds here; left to right, a Twite, Meadow Pipit and Skylark, are all on amber and red lists for conservation concern. www.birdwatchireland.ie
